Who is this guy?

A jack of all trades through game development and VR

Michael Angel is a highly motivated game developer that has been tinkering with different technologies, languages, and solutions for different platforms over the years. Previously a mobile game developer with life-long independent technology and programming experience that has expanded into VR, professional game industry experience, and custom hardware development in the XR realm independent of licensing, storefronts, or gated hardware devices.


Currently he is a gameplay systems developer at Eleventh Hour Games. As a highly driven individual he strives for the best and most unique experiences possible while exploring personal tech avenues for open-ended XR systems. He also volunteers as the VR Director at LAN all Night (LANFest Dallas) and LANFest Colorado events several times per year to bring new gaming experiences to foster healthy local gaming communities.

Architect of various gameplay and technical features such as endgame systems, in-game region swapping, Full Offline Mode, and much more as the game continues to grow

2020 - 2021: PulmoVR

Assisting in the development of PulmoVR for visualizing CT scans and lung segments, arteries, veins, and airways for surgery analysis. 

2020: "BYOC@Home"

2019 - ???: "HERMETIC"

2nd place winner in Quakecon's @Home 48hr gamejam that digitally simulates the BYOC experience found only at the annual Quakecon LAN event - new updates are coming soon.

A randomly generated labyrinth guided by an AI system that pulls you through an ever-changing Virtual Reality (and non-VR) horror experience - different every time you play!

2016-2018: Senior Game Engineer at Jackpot Rising

Coordination of mobile SDKs for iOS and Android for integration into Unity3D, 3rd party developer support, and in-house variations of mobile games for Jackpot Rising
